Think I'll be going stealth mode! :blast
you can spot the fugly GS's from outer space,so methinks " stealth mode " is questionable ;) Black will be fine though
:D :D

I've bucked the trend and am going shiny.

Boxed up and sent off.

I'll post pics of the results.

Quick one... are there/do I need to replace any seals/gaskets when swapping the old headers for my new coated ones?

If so, what exactly do I need?

Are you having it done at camcoat ? :nenau

I'm lookingat going there after my de-cat.

with the ceramic silk black inside and outside,

quoted me £80 -£90. for my 798 headers

I believe they are super busy right now 6 week ish turnaround !!

whats the shiny look like? although its black for me :thumb2

Yep - Camcoat. They did my Buell headers a couple of years ago and they came out great, though I sold the bike a few months afterwards - only put 300 miles or some on the new headers, so can;t say really how they hold up with use.

It's the Cermakrome I'm going for - this one...

I like the Kermachrome finish ....... looks like its turned out right on JB's one :thumb2

Hmm... downloaded a repair manual

No gaskets in my diagram :nenau

Is there any difference from early to late models?

you asked.I gave you info
the rest is up to you.
PS
If you look at your diagram, there are no exhaust studs shownig in the head.
Just the nuts, but they are in the bike. [otherwise the exhaust could not be tightened to the heads].

Just to reiterate Ash's post.
If it's anything like my 1100, you'll probably find that the gaskets are like concrete and impossible to get out with out risking damage to the head. I left mine where they were and used a little exhaust paste when I reassembled.
