What does this tool do?

Just emptied my BMW supplied tool kit out for the first time, Found the usual assortment of quality tools made from cheese. However I'm stumped as to what this tool does.

It is the extension bar for the front suspension adjuster wrench - slide the wrench into the flattened end.

Not sure if it has a secondary function

i have always use it as an extension for loosing and tightening the rear wheel nuts ..never needed to touch the suspension
