What happened to Dean at Marshall’s bmw?

Be careful that using Steve doesn't invalidate your warranty.
He's brilliant, no doubt, and a lovely bloke as well but he's not VAT registered and has no intention of being.
How this would might affect the warranty on a new bike I'm not sure but I have been advised twice on seperate occasions by two different advisors at BMW Extended Warranty that any servicing must be carried out by a VAT registered company.

I'm currently at Marshalls getting the TC serviced. A couple of 1250 GSAs have caught my eye including a brand new one. The salesman asked me if I needed any help so I asked if he had time to answer a couple of questions. 'No, not really, we're very busy" was the answer.
So I'm off to the café in the nearby village for breakfast instead. 😁

Edit: I'm assuming it's the same salesman who promised me a call back a few weeks ago that I'm still waiting for.

Cafe is good as is their service and they stick to there word
No lies no deflection they even give you eye contact
Unlike the deceit no aftersales of Marshall group
After your meal vacate Marshall prompt they will cause indigestion

Breakfast at the Laceby Teapot, 1/3rd of a mile walk away. Very nice too. For some reason I'm not being given the option to add a photo.

The guy who sits near the clothes rack has got a bit of a reputation for being a tad ignorant.
I dealt with Will Maddison- professional but personable, not pushy, took the time to show me round the bikes, replied promptly to my email questions etc etc , he sits in an office on the left side of the showroom.

Thats him, he's sitting near the t-shirts. Just been to pick the bike up, totally ignored again.

It’s because he’s more important than you. BMW have high standards…..apparently.

That kind of attitude is why I can’t do it to myself anymore. I should have stuck to my first instincts back in 1996 at L&C Tunbridge Wells….7 years after that I caved in. 4 new bikes and 1 used, lots of services etc.
It doesn’t sound like the dealer network has improved any.

Yes he is far to important for courtesy or politeness
I
He would be more fitting of a aftersales role

Just a tad ? He once smiled and had six weeks off on sick
Turned out to be trapped wind

+1 for Jess. Used to be on the spanners so knows what she’s talking about.
Jess for her efforts all unappreciated from them above
Regularly defending the undependable profit based management regime she needs to get out for her sanity
And get a proper job deserved of her knowledge not somewhere who flog you to death 50 hours plus and pay you a salary of 37 hours no aftersales customer support just a peacock pruning his self all day mirror mirror on the wall it’s Richard who as gone for a manicure again .

To answer the OP's question, I heard from several sources that when Dean left Marshalls, he went to KTM. A staff member I know well told me he " went to the dark, err orange side if you know what I mean".
Not sure if Dean is still there as things at KTM ain't that rosey either.
Richard Harvey in service retired nearly 10 years ago I would guess.
Agree that Jess knows her stuff, found her to be straight speaking.
Given my experince when trying to negotiate on a new GSA earlier this year was less than satisfactory so won't be returning, sure many others will do likewise.
They say history repeats itself, my observation is that when Marshalls take over a bike dealership it tends to fold after a few years, having said that it seems this time it has lasted longer than their track record shows, we shall see.
