I`ll turn up regardless, and wait til` 10.30 and if no-one appears, I`ll arrange it for another weekend.

We`ll go for the Dobbies Car Park at the A77 /A70 Roundabout at 10.00 [might be easier to find for the non locals]

I'm going for it Firegus but may cut it early and call it a short day if the weather is really foul.

Really bad down here, pis*ing down an` blowin` a hoolie.

This will separate the men from the boys!

Thanks to all who have intimated they`re not comin`

Looks like it will only be me and Packer.

Well, Packer was the only man to turn up. After a coffee in Dobbies Garden Centre, we waited until 10.30 and decided that, as the weather was as bad, we would shorten the run somewhat and just head down the A713 to New Galloway for brunch.

The intrepid duo battled through Heavy Rain, Strong Winds and the occasional flood to arrive at The Smiddy at New Galloway.

This is the wee burn that runs alongside The Smiddy

After a hearty meal the rain eased of a bit and we headed back up the A713 for Ayr.

Not the best of weather, but character building stuff.

Thanks for coming Tom, and thanks to all that contacted me with their apologies.

Back home in one piece

though pretty damp!

Many thanks Firegus for the run out and the blether. Even today I enjoyed myself and on a bright day that would be a great run!

Good choice for lunch as well. The floor looked as though we'd tried to turn it into a swimming pool though. Good job that it's stone.

One or two pictures later:thumb

Well done guys ah'm feart tae open the garage doors in case the roof blaws aff  Really it's mental.

The A713 from Ayr was quite damp in places

but that didn't stop Firegus from having a smile on his face, (you'll need to zoom in to see it though:blast

Or maybe not

Sorry that the pics are so similar but away from the shelter of the town we didn't feel like stopping to take piccies for some obscure reason.

It was entertaining following Firegus and watching him go from vertical to leaning at almost 30 degrees just to stay in a straight line due to the cross winds. It's amazing that a 350Kg bike with rider can get blown around so easily:eek:
