why not get a syncrotec if shoei's fit your head shape :D

Just bought an XR-1000, fitted the whisper strip kit and it's cock on! The pin lock works well too.

I've had to submit helmets for testing, and used a company called HPE in Farnham. Brian the head bod is a font of knowledge regarding helmets. It would appear Arai and Shoei are the pick of the bunch. Experience shows that if you have a rugby ball shaped head, its an Arai. For football shaped heads its the Shoei.

Eh ??

It`s always been the other way round.....

Rounder heads have been comfier in Arai and narrow, longer heads in Shoei...

Simpson Bandit !

How cool is that ....in an Imperial Stormtrooper kind of way :)

I also need a new lid.

I was considering a flip-up one for touring and something with a dark visor built in also, sort of double visor style.

Mainly as I find carrying a second visor APITA.

Does anyone have any have one and what do you think?

If you`re an all year round/all weather rider,I think it will be hard to beat the Laser Revolution.

The clear visor is double glazed, and DOES NOT mist up...even in sub-zero temperatures.
It has an internal tinted 'sunvisor'.
The lining pulls out for washing.
It is reasonably quiet.
The mechanism is easy to use, even wearing gloves, and it is secure...I can vouch for that as I landed on the front section in my crash, and it stayed locked closed.

Marriotts Motorcycles in Birkenhead are currently selling them for £150.

Do I detect a certain theme here? Latent Starwars fetish perhaps? :ymca

Stuart, I had a Shoei Raid and now have the Raid 2. It is much lighter and does not steam up due to the Pinlock system. Definately recommended, Ricky. :thumb

Same problem.....currently use a Shoei Raid...tried the Arai astro R and it just feels fantastic. :thumb

Wouldn't mind trying a Tour X, but dealers aren't that keen on try b4 ya buy :bounce1

The raid is what I got now, I tried the Tour-X but im inbetween sizes, ill have to try another shoei i think.
Whats the BMW sprotintegral like, i tried one and its a good fit are they any good, price was £190

I used a Sport integral for 6 weeks or so, the fit is good and it's pretty quiet but they will not demist at all. Water pisses in throught the top of the visor too. I hate wasting money and this is the worst case ever. As I posted earlier in the thread about my new Shoei, it really is the dogs.

New Lid

Just got a System 5 which after a period of pain breaking it in is working out just fine. So far no issues on regular commute into London or general scooting about. It also work well if like me you need glasses.
