I've 'moved on' from oilheads three times previously (1100GS x2 1150GS x1) - on each occasion following a long and happy ownership - probably just needed a change.

Anyway, I am very happy indeed to be back in the gang. This time it's a model I've been looking at from a distance for ages, an RS. I want to start to get my sons into the idea of bike touring so needed something that'll fit the bill for 2-up on-road trips to the New Forest, the South West, France and as soon as I can get enough time, Norn Iron.

So... with huge gratitude to Pint6X I am now the latest custodian of a cracking blue 1100RS. It has been really well serviced, and now with a bit of a clean she looks the part too. I'm so enjoying that lovely solid motor, Massey Ferguson gearbox, broad spread of torque, fantastic practical details like on-the-move adjustable screen, throttle tension adjuster... just brill.

Here we go....

Had a 1100RS in that blue, years ago. Then a succession of 1150RS’s including latest bought March last year. Marvellous bike, enjoy

Ha! I knew there would be few RSers out there.

Such an interesting motor, all that torque low down but if you venture to 5,000 revs, she picks up her skirts again and seriously hauls! Love it!

Fectifino!

Thought i'd never have another Boxer Bike.
Lotsa reasons / health and wealth being just two.
But then i got a go on an R850r, with Wilber suspension and that "greek" (?) tuning chip.
Well i never! :bounce1
Carries its weight very well, not a stutter nor bogging down due to lean mix. Comfy, handles extremely well. Wife loves it too.
Only complaint is crap luggage capacity - but i hope to cure that.

I'm converted. :thumb2
