Just out of interest... My 1100 has been on Mitas 50/50's for most of this year and they are actually pretty good on road for a semi off roader... I ride all year round and remember the Heidenau winter M+S versions but can't find the sizes at the mo... Does anyone know if they on any other makes are available...?

Conti TA's to TKC70

My Conti TA are due to be replaced on my 1150GS.....I have decided to go for TKC70. I had Conti TA2 on my previous R850R and very happy with that for all year round...

Also just started using TKC70's on my 1150GS - certainly happy with the performance of the tyre so far...:thumb2

Cheers guys... I'll check them out... Its a bit chilly at the mo and if I do get caught out in some bad stuff then I like a bit of confidence... The strangest thing is my old 12RT with Michelin Pilot Road 3's was pretty good in the icy and slightly snowy stuff. Complete surprise but caught out once or twice...

I also ride throughout the year and have recently put karoo 3s on one of the 1150 Adv - done 2000 miles on them now and very impressed. Not had them off road, but have done some rough tracks, cylinder deep water last night for a 60 yards wide stretch - cleared it easily (which is a first for me! I am so lacking in confidence when it comes to tackling things like that, or off roading) I think these tyres are going to get me testing the water (yes, I meant to do that) and dipping my toe into some off road attempts. No idea what the tyre life will be like, only time will tell.
