If it was me I'd be waiting for the 1290 super adventure S to come out (not sure when that'll be ... early spring??) and test them back to back.
My impression of the 1290 super adventure T (as it's now known!) is that it was a great bike but too big and Bentley continental-esque for me at the moment. I'm still up for something a little more nimble. When I retire and want to spend my weeks and months away hammering Europe, then it's the sort of thing I'd consider ...![]()
So no Rolls-Royce-esque Honda GL1800 GOLD wing for you then, well just yet that is! I love my '64 GS but after testing riding exact GSA bike "The Missenden Flyer" test rode recently, I liked how much more smooth it is and not as "tractor" like mine is. I just wish BMW would move up to 8-9k services intervals. 6k is so 15-20 years ago.
