What is the Norm for BMW dealers?

I bet they lost more money on that deal than RBS or HBOS.
Does Sir Fred Goodwin work in the sales dept??:blast

:clap:clap

Always had top service from Rainbow, even their mechanics certainly know their arse from their elbow too

Maybe you caught them on an 'off day' - but the sales process is a lot more complicated these days (cheers BMW:rolleyes:)

In the old days:rob the 1st service was free, the warranty was simpler and straightforward, the bike's had more paint - then the accountants moved in:eek:

TBH I would expect to get 1st service labour free IF I bought the bike from the same dealer. Buying elsewhere then wanting free service locally is, IMHO, taking the rise just a bit.

What WOULD (and did) annoy me is buying a bike, taking it 80 miles back to the same dealer for it's 1st service AND being charged for the labour.

Even when I complained to both Service and the original Salesman, their attitude was "tough luck, we've got your money".

Suffice to say I never went back there for any other service or to buy my next bike.

I'm now a very happy, having moved my custom to Bahnstormer, who did me a great deal on my GS and did the first service labour free.
