What is this pin for?

Someone who hasnÂ’t got a clue about bikes. If you had done any research, visited a bike showroom, looked on google youÂ’d have known about valves in spokes.
.
Or, you could ask a GS forum for some friendly advice, instead I get smug pissing contest comments from you, coming out with shit that “you don’t have a clue about bikes” how f*cking childish. Even though I don't have to explain myself to anyone, I have been only riding bikes for 4 years, after 30years riding Lambretta’s , in this time owning an 1150Gs and 2 x 1200 Adventures, all with spoked wheels. I take a photo at a showroom of a bike that I later bought for my missus, before I pick it up, at home I noticed that the “pin” on the spoke, I googled couldn’t find anything. So innocently not knowing there is the knowledge police in force on this forum, I stupidly asked what I thought was a genuine question, some answered right away, excellent, job done, I can move on with my life, but then the knowledge police keyboard warriors kick in and have got to come in with derogatory comments, you are one of the the reasons no one likes GS riders with your cliquey smug obnoxious attitude. I’m going to close it off there, because I have a life, full stop.

Sorry mate but this has nothing to do with GS riders. You would have copped a fair amount of shit in any forum for asking a question like this.

6 pages on a tyre valve, wow this could get comparable with Brexit

To be fair, you did get immediate answers to your question that were accurate and polite.

You just weren't quick enough to CLOSE the thread and effectively left the door wide open for the Forum zombies to invade.

There are a lot of members on this site who will take great pleasure feeding of any naivety, noobs, mistakes, fuck ups, know it alls, experts.... and rip the topic into shreds.... just for their daily amusement.

Close the thread once you've got your answer unless it amuses you to trawl through the aftermath of zombie attacks.

That is UKGSer.
