The enduro box is (in my opinion), only worth getting if you go off road. Thats what its there for - better control on the loose stuff at slow speeds. I don't buy the argument 'it helps my hill starts' or 'slow manouvering in the car park', its an off road tool, and completely redundant if you only plan on sticking to tarmac.
To be honest an alarm is a waste of time, people just dont react to alarms anymore.

I was chatting to a dealer about the enduro box.1st gear is lower but the rest are the same as the non-enduro box.
One of the reasons i dont like the 1150 ADV was the loss of the overdrive 6th in that "enduro" box.
If you do specify the enduro box on the 1200,is the bike supplied with wire wheels and nobby tyres as part of the package?.
This question applies to the previous 1200s as well as the 2010 version.
