what oil and coolant for g650gs

Hi guys im new to biking just bought ag650gs as my first bike so any help greatly appreciated. WhAt oil should i use it has only 200 miles on the clock ? And what coolant is it the same as a car antifreeze ?.

@ 200 miles You shouldn;t need ANY of either, I take it this is a New Bike???

You should have got a manual, Very Soon one or more big grumpy person(s) in here will post a little grumpy faced or very cross faced icon and put the letters RTFM


Don't mess about for one thee is a VERY SPECIFIC way to check the oil level!!! You need to learn it!

if you got manual all the info is in there if you didn't?

Go back and badger the feck outta the salesman and GET your bikes manual!

All the info you need is in there Including the service schedules and places for service stamps get them all the more information you have about your bike the better your resale value

Check out www.F650.co.uk aswell as there'a specific G650GS section.

If your bike doesn't start when it's hot don't run the battery down trying to start it again......!

Go for a coffee......Wait a bit and try to start it again then contact your dealer as some these bikes have a hot starting problem, other than that they are great wee bikes!

You shouldn't need coolant between services unless you have a leak and there's specific oil information in the owners manual......Other than that lube the chain, ride the bike and enjoy it!

It doesnt need oil or coolant it was just to get in case it needs topped up thats all lol

10/40 motorcycle, semi synthetic oil.
Coolant, any suitable for alloy engine.
