i,m struggling to find a good seat for my 2018 GSA .I got the wunderlich low seat i find it too small it pushes me half way up the tank .i,m looking at a Sargent seat or the touratech seat .What are you experiences please

Sargent seat all day long

I went from standard to wunderlich and was very dissapointed

Managed to get a second hand sargent seat and never looked back

Absolutely night and day from the other two

also as already been suggested I have front high and back low

(I will add I am a heavy guy and 6ft 2 which I think makes a huge difference to what seat you have)

I tried two or three different seats on my first 2014 r1200gsa and could not get anything that suited , ended up buying a standard height BMW Comfort seat (the two tone black/grey one the same height as a standard gs seat ) it is very good so bought the rear to match and they were on that bike my next 2018 model r1200gsa and now on my 2021 r1250gsa .
Last year I replaced the front one with the taller version which is even better

I’ve swapped the tortuous OE seat on every BMW I’ve owned for a Sargent. All-day firm support when touring instead of the jelly blancmange effort from the factory effort.

IMHO all standard BMW seats are not much cop and they have a bloody cheek as a manufacturer to include a “comfort” version as a cost-extra accessory in their own range of products. For the price the bikes cost they should be better out of the crate.

I guess I have a Sargent shaped arse?

YMMV.

Thanks all i have purchased a Sargent seat on your recommendation so fingers crossed

Hope the sargent sorts it for ya, ive got one, very good seats.
Interestingly i'm just about to try a wunderlich comfort low on the nippy try for 2 weeks offer. The sargent is fine comfort wise but i need something a bit lower for touring as when the bikes loaded up i'd feel better with both feet well planted.
I'll see how it goes.

Hi Buttertub,if for whatever reason you want to move the Sargent on,can you drop me a message as I'm currently looking for one(standard or high if they do a high)thanks.

Be aware that the Sargent will feel like a slab of wood in comparison to the OE seat. They are meant to be firm in order to provide support, you soon get used to them.

Ok, will do, i have the passenger as well, all bought from this parish a year or two ago. Also both have cool covers i bought last year. Would you be interested in the lot ?
I'll see how i get on with the wunderlich and take it from there.

Ideally only the riders but if the price is right then possibly both.
