Well after much research I have bought myself a new grey/black Rallye 2 Pro suit for the Summer and my planned tours.

My initial impressions are very favourable and although it is rather "vivid" I think the features of the suit particularly for Summer are worth the "twat" jibes.

There is a space for a water bladder behind the back protector but I cannot find what size to purchase.

Can anyone tell me the right size bladder and if possible recommend a good make?

Thanks in advance

Get a conventional Camelbak and wear it like a rucksack. Saves a lot of fiddling around.

There is a thread somewhere on how to put the filler cap on the outside of the jacket, making life much easier when re-filling.

Better still, I have mine with an extension tube. It sits behind me, the tube running along the underside of the seat, the mouthpiece curling around to sit inside the handguards.

I can take some pictures if it helps.

If you had time I would be really interested to se your set up in some photos.

I got really thirsty last year on a tour of Italy and am keen to avoid it this year.

Thanks

The jacket bladder heats the water up very nicely, and it's fun taking your jacket on and off every time to fill it up.

But it looks like a great idea - in the glamorous pictures in the off road section of the clothing catalogue. :D

Don't bother. Its so damned fiddly getting the bladder into the jacket, and out again to fill it. Jacket ends up getting wet with condensation etc, and wet if you try to fill it in situ.

Just use a regular camelbak rucksack thing.

If you haven't used a camelbak before, you need to be very careful with drying it. Use the Camelbak plastic hanger (this keeps the reservoir open), and take the bite valve off (pull hard). This allows it to dry out, air to circulate & prevents it going mouldy and/or tasting disgusting. My current bladder is 5 years old and still tastes fine; my earlier ones were binned due to mould / bad taste before I discovered this method. Mould in the water tube is a sod to get rid of, and using a pipe cleaner is a right pain.

The Camelbak plastic hanger thing is pricey (around £10), but well worth it.

Milton sterlising fluid now and again too.

[BTW - The Rallye2 is a hot suit in summer !]

Friend of mine only uses water in his and keeps it in the freezer empty to stop the mould.

Thanks guys. I am just going to get a normal camelbak subject to seeing Wappings set up.

The fiddliness point and the heating up both make perfect sense.

Thanks also for the tips on keeping the mould at bay!
