What Tartan?

I need to buy a skirt for a wedding I'm attending, and I guess this is the place that will be in the "know"

People always complain about the Scots and their "tightness" with money, ( I know at least three women up there and they dont seem tight, so I assume it's the stereo typing once again) so I need a tartan that portrays a wealthy clan, any advice would be welcome, must be from a wealthy folk and not skint flint clan..

The weddings in East Kilbride, (wherever that is)

I can reccomend a very good tartan company in Glasgow which I have used in the past, to purchase my 'Davidson' kilt tartan. They also have a very good website which lists the majority of all the tartans etc.......
