A mate is after something like the above, he's relative new to bikeing and only owned a zx6r but wants one of these, now I've ridden allsorts inc hardtail chops and dont quite think it fits the bill, he's after something for sunny days, not touring/comuting just a bit of fun but differant. So whos owned or ridden a 10ft raked out thing and what they like?
Dave.

Many years ago I rode a long forked raked bonnie chop....scared the shite out of me!!!

Grand in a straight line, cool factor, not for the back roads in Ireland, reckon your front tire would want to be in tip top condition especially in the rain

One of the guys in my club has a Swedish style shovel head. He runs a Glide as well ;)

Following him anywhere is a scary experience. It has the turning circle of a supertanker and the practicality of a chocolate tea pot. This one is 6 years old but is still being run in, tell you anything?

Custom bikes are VERY subjective things. Everyone has an opinion on them and consequently their value is only what you will pay rather than a set figure. Even established cutom builders rarely get large profits on bikes unless they are built to order. I'd also not spend big money unless I knew the builder. You trust your life to these things and have no idea how it was put together. :eek

Stick a pair of Ali Panniers and a 'Windjammer' fairing on – sorted! A very capable tourer. Stelvio pass might be a bit of a challenge though in all fairness.
