What tool for gear selector

Is there a special tool for the gear lever bolt, I don’t seem to have anything to fit it and I don’t want to force it.

To remove the bolt. A female Torx of the correct size.

The female Torx (E-Torx) size typically needed to remove the gear lever pivot bolt on many BMW GS motorcycles (including R1200GS/R1250GS) is an E8 or E10socket.

• Best Fit: The gear lever pivot bolt is generally an E8.

Its a E-torx spanner, (E8 from memory)
