What topbox should I get

Allan Jefferies charging me £500 for topbox fully fitted to new GSA which is due in sept

that seems expensive …are they giving you the internal back too ….i was offered the whole kit , box and two panniers for £750 inc to the new bike..didnt want the panniers though and he wouldn't do much on just the top box,id already got him to put the sat nav on for free..!

just called my dealer and they will supply me a new top box keyed to the ignition for £315.00 so i think I'm going to go with that

+1 for the Givi Trekker. Looks good on the bike, it matches the oem boxes pretty well and fits nicely with the SW Motech mounting bracket. They tend to need the seal adjusting around the box edge to make them watertight, but once you do that they're fine.

Bradders4, that looks good. Much better than the OEM case and a more practical bigger size that would suit me down to the ground.

What SW Motech mounting bracket did you use? I see the Givi SR5108 manufactured one that's a bit unsightly that looks to make the rear rack slightly less useful. Would appreciate any pointers you have.,

Hi

Its the bracket that's listed for the GS LC and then you need the adapter plate that suits your type of box. It's all on the SW Motech website. The adapter plate fits with quick release fastenings so I only use it if I'm putting the box on because its not particularly pretty. The part in the pic is the bracket which doesn't look out of place left on the bike in my pinion.

This is what I hate about dealers, AJ have quoted £1020 for the top case, panniers and locks on mine

exactly what they quoted me too but poss waiting 4 or 5 weeks for the lock to be keyed to the ignition !!
