What tyres R100RS, and from where? I'm way out in the sticks, so would have to be mail order. Need front and back.

Should be back on the road any time now. :bounce1

Avon Distanzas are better on bitumen than any other tire Ive had on an Airhead, and are acceptable on gravel roads too.

Lasertecs and Macadams are OK to, but in Oz the Avons are cheaper initially and they last longer too.

I've got the replacement for the ME33 on mine (Lazertech).

Michelins

Macadams, great all round tyre: excellent for distance/scratching/wet riding - good value too! I have tried all the options and these are (IMHO) the best.

Thank you all, Lasertech ordered today, will be just under £200 with tubes, fitting (wheels off the bike) and VAT. Is that reasonable?

... Thank you all, Lasertech ordered...
The bike has been getting a tad twitchy at the back in the last few hundred miles, the tyre pressures are OK, and I've checked the swing arm bearings. The tread is down to 2.5mm in the middle, do Lasertechs get twitchy at this stage of wear?

I've always found them twitchy at the best of times.

I'm running Conti Go's on my RS. First impressions were very good with the bike rolling nicely through the bends but now they have worn a little the front end feels a little "greasy" as though there's too much contact area. It may just be me though.

Im a firm devotee of BT45s ,put them on a mono I had and they transformed the bike ,just ordeered a set on Thursday for my R100R ,could have got a set of conti Go,s a bit cheaper but decided to stay with what I know, cant go wrong IMO with bt 45,s

Got a pair of these Michelins fitted to my old Turbo. They work very well in all conditions, as seen here a couple of weeks ago on a damp-ish Cadwell Pk....

Ive just replaced the tyres on my RT for Conti Go's. Feel really good now they are scrubbed in. also felt good in the wet last week, following a blackbird down the A30 to lands end. At £118 for the pair I recon they are a bargain too. Will have to see how they last now.
