What tyres

What tyre do you recomend, I am currently on Michelin T66's front is brand new (well 1000miles) so only want to change the rear, can't get a T66 locally, any views on the new Anakee, the T66 replacment.

I run a Enduro 4 at the front and a Tourance on the back,
Both are made by Metzeler.
I'd get the Anakee to match the Michelin on the front

Buy Tourances...

if you want a good wear rate. I've currently got anakees on and the rear seems to be losing 0.5 mm every 600 miles. Having said that, their performance is very good and the front doesn't seem to be wearing into those funny ridges like an enduro 4 does... Which really makes things twitchy, especially in the wet!!!

Currently on Anakee and consider them the best tyres so far.

Will last less than the Tourance (1000 miles less), but will give you much more satisfaction. On the wet are incredibly safe. Grip is much better than Tourance, you don't have the back loosing grip on exiting the turns.

If you do a lot of highways, take the Tourance, if you do a 50% 50% take the Anakees.

How do you get the bead to seal on the rim?

Great in all conditions.........don't go off road (Well, not intentionally anyway )

We have dry and warm weather in Tuscany. Tourance have great grip, but not as good as Anakees. You feel the effect on exiting turns and on the back tyre (better than loosing the front!).
Yes, you go fast in hilly roads and its the only way to test the tyres to the limit.
To be honest, with the T66 on dry and warm condition you have even better grip, but the T66 will last 1/2 the Anakees, expecially if you take it on the highway for as little as 1000miles.

OK, so you can get the rear squirming using the midrange of a GS when cranked over, but methinks you'd need to be doing something very wrong to get her sliding...

Well definately going the Anakee route, after all the bad press/rumors on Tourances and thier propensity to crack/bubble,
and to be honest after riding on crossplys for years I find this radial stuff sticks like glue even in the wet I seem to have grip where my old K would have spit me off, the answer for me at the momemt seems to be round black and radial.

ive got the new michelin pilot roads,great in wet and dry,just dont take them off road.
