And where's he going to get those in a 19" front size....?

Treating the question seriously which is always the best response to piss-taking questions - I suggest Heidenau K60 Scout M+S; if only because I want to know if they really do grip cold wet tarmac better than the usual fayre.

Get to it, Chris.....:thumb2

Mail me a set to my usual address and I will trial them for you. ;)

:P

I've been running K60's for the past couple of years and they work surprisingly well in the wet on tarmac. Certainly better that I ever expected them to :thumb2

Sorry, see edit.

And mine......:D

Isn't the only difference with the Scout variant that they have a solid tread bar running around the complete circumference of the tyre in the middle of the tread to provide longer life for "slabbing" as our Merkin cousins would call it....? :nenau

I suppose it's a serious question really........!

I usually run TKC80's all year and living on a farm they're very handy nipping around the odd stubble field or muddy farm track but I specced my GSA30 with Tourance EXP's which I found gripped better than the standard Tourance although not as long lasting(6k miles from the rear EXP)

On my previous HP2E I used Karoo or Karoo T's and always found them ok if used carefully on tarmac in the wet(changed around 3k miles)

I'm happy with the TKC 80's but i've never tried the Heidenaus and would be keen to try a set in future.

That's also my understanding FWIW.

They really are pretty good tyres given what they are expected to do - having said that I'm back to pure road tyres when they are worn out as I miss being able to 'really' chuck the bike about :)

I'll be using Dunlop Winter Sports tyre. You get a lot of mileage out of them...
