Looking for a way out
After 2 years of air head ownership, I think I've completed about 200 miles.

Some body has just asked if I want to sell it and I think the answer is yes.

Some of you may even remember it. Owned by BigYellowGS aka James and refered to as Bitsa. ISTR Rob Farmer sourced some of the components.

As the name impies its not a thoroughbred, and I blieve it started life as this:

but now looks like:

James clearly put some effort into building it, including powercoating the chassis and new rear socks etc.

r100 chassis
r80 engine
R90/6 forks

Basically fairly sorted and boasts a brand new MOT of all 10 miles ago.
Alas in the 10 miles back from the MOT garage the gearbox seal failed and there is oil leaking out from the rear drive. I've been meaning to fix it for a few months..
Everything else seems ok - although the battery doesn't hold charge for long.

James wanted first refusal, but PMs to his account don't work - so if anybody has contact details..

I know I cant advertise here without a price and I don't know what its worth.
I far rather a lower price with an easy sale to somebody who will enjoy it (so ebay isn't my choice)

thanks
Jim

The parts I supplied are the original forks, wheels, swinging arm and bevel box from the bike that Rich C owns.

Many thanks for all the PMs - rather more than I was expecting.

However everybody is asking me what I want for it, and thats the issue. I don't know

I was planning on keeping and sorting it out, untill the chippy who was helping on the extension ask if he could buy it.... I've no idea what he thinks it worth, and I said I'd think about it.

So I paid 950 for it (no idea if that was a fair price), but that was for a roadworth bike, rather than a one needing to be fixed. So if I knock off £250 for that, that gives me £700.

Given the Chippy asked first, I'll offer it to him first and if he doesn't want it, i'll offer to the people who have PMed me and the post a for sale.

Cheers,
Jimbo
