Prices all over the place at the minute so I'm trying to gauge what it's worth.

This is a great bike, I've had it a few years but it generally just sits in the garage and doesn't get used. I'm trying to decide if I can bear to be parted from it. Apart from a new Wilbers rear shock it looks exactly as it does in the picture. The down sides are it's done around 114,000 miles, the barrels could do with replacing because they're just below the wear limit. The battery is fading and the tank needs repainting.

Good points are it's a genuine July 1987 Paris Dakar bike, The rear shock cost me £350 less than 100 miles ago. The tyres are as new, the gearbox has been rebuilt. The engine is the sweetest, quietest 80 engine you will ever come across. The heads were overhauled a few hundred miles ago by Steve Scriminger at SED http://www.scriminger.co.uk/ including new valves and guides.

Just weighing things up. I really fancy an 1100 again (either GS or Rt).

Noticed it's an E reg, just like my 100 GS para :)

Value. Have you had a look at ebay completed sales including Germany?

Looks a nice bike, pity I don't have any spare cash or garage space :(

I don't know how long you've had it but unless you need the money then you really ought to keep it.
Maybe review it in another 6 months if you still aren't using it.
And as it happens that may well coincide with the time I should be able to put in a bid.

£2500 and upwards

Swap you for that nice RT Johnny :thumb

I can't move for airheads and I really cannot see any point in having 5 bikes that are all essentially the same so something got to go. The first thing to go is going to be the 100RS and possibly the R90/6 once it's finished.

What I really want to end up with is an Airhead GS, Oilhead RT, Hinckley Bonnie and my R100. Just need to work out the best way to get there.

I keep refusing offers

It is a nice one (corrosion free) and very good to ride - 1100's always are...........best oilheads

I think you're right - you do need an Oilhead in your stable
for those days went you want to make progress and enjoy a blast

Sh1t Rob, it was seeing a picture of that bike a year or so ago that got me thinking about an airhead:D i spent too long thinking about buying the 80 that Roger bought:augie so i got the 100pd off Roger instead...Dam dam dam and double dam. do you a swap:augie

Blimey I would have looked well silly with my guess of £3250. Easy paint and sticker job on the tank plus a new battery for £300 and I would be advertising it for at least £3750 it it were mine.

Superb looking bike Rob :thumb2 I would love to make an offer so :bounce1
What about a deal (swop) for a Jap bike (plus some cash), it will give you a good variety :JB
