Whats the best tank bag to buy???

want to buy a tank bag with the clear top for reading a map, medium size.
Any suggestion??

If you don't want to carry too much try the Touratech "day trip" bag, comes with a detatchable map pocket,I've got one and it suits my needs,is easy to attach and remove for fuel fill ups etc.

Feckin brilliant, no messin with zips or straps, easy/fast on n off.
Power in bag to charge mobile etc....
Not cheap, but worth every penny.

A great little bag.

I have used one for about two and a half years with no problems.

Also, its bigger brother is good, too.

Buy with confidence. :thumb2

+1 for the SW-Motech with the optional electrical connection.

Map pocket detachable and is an optional extra too, but the bag comes with a waterproof overcover which can go over the map pocket too. I can testify for the cover as hit a downpour in Scotland and everything stayed dry apart from a few drips that got in when I took something out.

for the Touratech "day trip" bag, can you fit a PDA / phone in the map section?

I don't see why not:confused:
Touratech also offer a (their words) "Nav Bag" to fit in place of the tank bag, like this...............

I should add that althought I am pleased with the Touratech bag and don't hesitate to recommend products that I am happy with,I have no connection with the company and receive no commission for promoting or endorsing their products, the Touratech website is easy to navigate and can be found here..... http://www.touratech.com/shops/008/

i saw that but did not fancy the extra £60 odd for it, when it might be possible to squeeze a PDA in the map section :augie

+1 on the TT day bag. Super easy to get on and off the bike. Small, but plenty of room and really handy velcro attached map case. I also have a handlebar bag in which I have a 12v ciggy socket permanently powered and connected to the battery. With the tank bag on, I often move the ciggy socket to the map case or the tank bag. According to the TT spec the bag isn't waterproof but it seems pretty waterproof to me.

Or get a Baglux tank cover which will offer you a greater range of bags to use.
They clip on so are very secure.
