Anyone tried the Shark flip-front Evoline 3 (or the older series 2)?
Was in at GetGeared in Leeds yesterday and it felt a really nice helmet.

I fancy a flip front - not too sure why, lazy I guess. Always had Arai but may have a change.
I understand that it may be marginally noisier than a full face but I use plugs, also the potential to fit the Sharktooth comms pack is attractive.
Anyone got an opinion, even one based on experience, on this helmet.

Anone got any contacts for good price on helmets?, does UKGSer get any discounts?

TIA

Try Nicholas Noble in Frizinghall on the way in to Bradford from Shipley direction (www.nicholasnoble.co.uk) - has a good range of flips - considerably more than on the website (although not Shark I think) and he'll always do a deal for 'walk ins'. :beerjug:

There's a better idea of stock/range on his ebay shop. He also does Shoei but none listed for some reason. :nenau

I really like my Caberg Sintesi BTW and the new(ish) Lazer Monaco is getting some v good reviews and is much lighter than the Caberg.

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply JKW, and thanks to everyone else for not shouting at me for not using Search function which I subsequently did do and found many useful posts.
Shark Evoline 3 seems pretty good if it really is lighter and quieter than the Series 1 and 2.

Hi to Alan Jones of this forum, good little ride today, nice to meet you and pleased to hear your recommendation re the Evoline

Cant compare against the old evoline as only had a shoei race rep type lid prior to getting the evoline 3 .. but feels as light as that (says 1750g on back)
Really comfy, I don't think its 'loud' and flip front and pilot goggles came in really useful on my recent trip to Italy. Used both functions way waay way more than I ever thought i would.
Thoroughly recommended as is Mick Byrnes (discount available with the code 'sharkride')

Cheers, Tom
