Whats your's like???

Lovin it

Hi there - I'm relatively new to this GS1200 world of madness as I only picked my 08 GS up in April :D

Still 2 months and 2000 miles later I can honestly say I haven't had this much fun on a bike since I was falling off lots on the BMW Off Road Course in South Wales - funnily enough that was on a GS too :bow

Now gone and booked up for a tour of Ireland in September to see if this touring stuff is for me in the future - can't wait so will have to try a bit of independent travelling until then :aidan

Morning all, ta for the replies

Just been into my garage this morn and I think it has just got even “bloody better” overnight! :bounce1

Marvellous scenes.

Popped out for a quick spin round the block yesterday afternoon in the sun and did 100 miles.:thumb2

I'm actually really really sad today, as my 06 GS is being sold on Sunday. Just had to bring it in to work to get some warranty work done by the dealer, and the ride home will be my last on it.

I actually didn't think I'd be this sad to sell it, but I'm genuinely down today. I have one last 9 mile ride home on it, and that will be it.

Hey ho, the GS advanture does look good:)

Happy with mine, an 06 26000 12 GSA, having its first problems now, the clutch slave cyl has failed due to a servicing error sometime in the past, and a corrosion error is being sorted on the FD.

Other than that I'm very happy:thumb2

My 05 plate GSA is fantastic too. :bounce1

Off roaded it, two up blasts down motorways, camping, europe, Morocco: it's done it all without missing a beat. :thumb2

Did I mention it's an 1150 :augie

I'll get me coat :hide

Loved my '05 yellow peril. But my missus said it was about time I had a new one:eek: She's a good girl:angel. I now have a new one in stealth bomber grey and love it too.

I also love my 06 (07 model) white GSA12.

So far nothing has gone wrong, apart from the rusty pannier frames it came delivered with!!!

Withy regard to this bloody EWS ,do I need to get my bike done as well ?

It was bought in Sept 06 and is one of the first non-servo bikes.

Mines same as yours and I havent been contacted Love mine !! Wish I had more time to ride it!!Love it :thumb

And if it wasn't for the LWR and LWD how many 1200 Adv's do you honestly think they would have sold?

Only time will tell which is the better bike but for now I'd put a fiver on my 55 SE being worth more than most 1200's in years to come.

This is the way that I feel about my 2008 GS too! I'm only a few thousand miles in, but on my last bike a few thousand miles took the best part of a year instead of a few months; nuff said really.
