Hi all,
Just got some Conti Trail Attacks mounted today on my R1150 by my local tyre fitter. However he was unable to balance the rear due to not having correct shims for his balance tool. And when doing the front complained that his balance machine was suggesting 90grams of weight and that he thought this was wrong and was a product of the wheel being spoked.
So I left with a pair of wheels with nice new tyres but unbalanced. I've not ridden the bike yet so I don't know how badly this will affect the ride but I'm not that happy that I've got to trudge off somewhere and take the wheels out again and get them properly balanced.
Am I being over cautious? Have other members experienced similar issues from tyre fitters when presented with GS wheels? Anyone got recommendations of tyre fitters around east London that handle GS wheels competently?
Thanks
Dan
