Wheel Balancing

More important to balance the front than the back imo. Bike rides smoother at speed with wheels balanced .... just my two penneth ... :nenau

In almost 45 years of motorcycling I have never heard or witnessed anyone fitting a tyre (under normal circumstances) without balancing. Above all I question the rationality...

Would the same peeps fit their car tyres without balancing I wonder...:nenau

Hi guised

In answer to your specific question regarding tyre fitters in SE London, give Watling Tyres, 40 Rushey Green, Catford, SE6 4JD a try. (020 8690 3366). They have all the kit and seem to do more bike tyres than cars. You can take your own wheels out in their workshop inside, or let them do it.
No connection just a satisfied customer for many years.

Hope this helps

I posted about this lark a few times on forums....

There is a dealer in the UK - Scorpion Racing Ltd

They certainly look as if they will do the business. The local HGV tyre place uses loads of them for the trucks hauling stone out of the quarry.

IIRC Scorpion do a pack for £5 ...but then they want £5 postage :(

I tried phoning Scorpion not that long ago...... i was told that had been taken over by someone else ,but the person on the phone had'nt a clue what i was talking about!!

spotted an ad in 100% biker...i'll see if i can find it out.

I was very close to importing some from the States, but the guy on ADV Rider sold the bulk bag that he had to his home market first :nenau
