Hi all,

When I bought my bike (a 2017 GSA Triple Black) I thought that the whizzy wheel thingy on the handlebar did a lot of things on the Nav V.

Yes, I can switch pages and I can zoom in/out on a map... but seemingly little else?

Can anyone give me tips/tricks/instruction/guidance (psychiatric assistance)?

The Instruction book is about as much use as the ashtray accessory.

Thanks in advance from a doofus!

The colour / style designation of your awesome steed makes no difference to the device's efficacy nor its interaction with the whirly wheel thing. I trust that is of some comfort.

Anticipation is often better than realisation. What else did you expect the device and wheel thing to do? As the wheel works differently on other bikes in the BMW range, for example it works differently on my 1600 than it does on my XR, I'll move this thread to the 1200 section.

As far as I can tell the entire function of the wheel is for my glove to catch it when I use the indicator.

Music page. Hold wheel right to move to next track.
Hold wheel left to play previous track.
I'd have expected to be able to adjust volume with the wheel but no such luck.

On the one of the menus it says 'hold' to do certain things, like 'speak', 'waypoint' etc.
Mine has never worked - anyone else?

On the bike display screen of the nav, it will scroll between the amount of information boxs in view.

My favourite is the quick flick from map to full screen speedo when cameras are about. That is worth £100 and three points every time.

How do you get it to do that?
I've only ever got it to display a large speedo when the engine is switched off.
Thanks

On the screen where it displays all of the bike's info, you can customize this tiled menu to put your faves at the top. First 4 I think. Then when you jog the wheel it increases the size of these tiles, and if you jog wheel to the first one it's full screen. If you then jog sideways it will be there all the time as a zoomed, full screen tile. You can set it to whatever but I fully agree, speed is the best.
