I'm thinking about changing the spoked wheels, but don't know what options I have.:nenau It's a 2010 1200 Anniversary, so I want something that will look good on the bike.

I've seen some 1200's with sport style black wheels, which look good, and also look easier to clean!:augie

What are my options, anyone have any recommendations? What sort of money am I looking at for a pair (new, not used!)?

YOu obviously have the beemer choicew and can paint them whatever colour you like! Muast admit ive got wire wheels on my GSA and wished theyd offered an alloy option!

There's plenty of people out there more than willing to swap you their alloys for your wires. :augie

True, but you would want alloys and money for the wires, £100 should be about right.................assuming thats what you want to do of course:D

Be nice. But my 1200 is an 05 with 55000mls on it.
Mind you the last time I cleaned it, they looked just like new. Infact all the ally has all survived much better than any Jap bike I've had. The only exceptions being the edges of rocker covers.

I have silver ten spoke alloys on mine, more than happy to swap for spokes, throw the wheel bolts in too.Even pay for the powder coating if you want them black.

Ayup chaps, yes they are r1200s wheels you need the rear non sport 5.5'' rim when doing this mod, as the sport rim is 6'' (190) and clearance will be tight however 6'' rim does fit as my bst carbon rear is 6''.

Another option is r1200rt wheels they dont look as sporty but they fit fine, when fitting these rims the front rim may catch very very slighty on the front inside of the calipers mine did, all i did was just file the area very slightly on the caliper and all was fine and you cant even tell that ive done this, its a great mod the bike handles far better and gives more confidence.

Cost new these rims without tyres before the vat increase was £900, sometimes they come up for sale on evil bay rarely!! ill be selling mine very shorty with or without tyres as ive got some bst wheels im fitting...
