Wheel, Rotor, Caliper suggestions

So far we know the OP has bought some forks, but we don’t know what he is trying to build…
Is it a cafe racer ( when Paralever GS forks will be too long)
Is it a street scrambler ( paralever GS forks will be fine)
Is it a desert racer ….at which point I would say he would be better with newer KTM (or similar) forks.
A “brat style” bike would be better with standard length RT /RS/ etc forks…..

We need more info before we can give a definite plan of action to assist the OP in his quest

it's a 'Gentlemans GS' build

inspired by this one

This looks like it would work. Just to be sure, as I respect Bubb's experience on this, I'm going to ask my wheel builder if he can lace this to my 19" centre hole rim.

Wow, that was quick. I have sent the pictures and he says he can definitely lace them to an early centre hole rim. There is a trick to it apparently. Stirlingmoz - I'd like to know how much you want for the hub. Its exactly what I'm looking for.

Ah, so a street scrambler build.
Think the gs forks will work then.
I didn’t know a R100R hub could be re spoked to centre of rim, but I’m not a wheel builder……I thought the holes would be at wrong angle……but your builder obviously knows what he is on about.

If it doesn’t work, then a ST wheel and custom axel and spacers could work instead.

Good luck, and keep us updated on the build….with pictures!

For a gentleman’s Gs …. I would start with a ST ( in fact I did!) and then alter to suit what you want.

Hi..I tried to send you a private message but the forum won’t let me.

I think you may have to be a paid up forum member for this ?

Anyway..

I bought an R100R front wheel because I wanted the 18” Akront wheel rim to lace to an R100R rear hub (that was 17” from the factory)

Basically I’ve ended up with an 80’s monolever bike but made to look a bit more retro with 18” spoked wheels at both ends.

I got Doug Richardson to lace it all together for me and if that’s who you are using - I can assure you, he does a top job.

I paid £300 for the complete front wheel.

I sacrificed the spokes by cutting and removing them and was left with the rim and hub.

How does £100 for the hub itself as pictured sound ?

I’ll pay my subscription, sounds good to me

That does look good. However, my ‘gentleman’ is older, and requires old fashioned dual shocks.

Wheel laced

So this is an R80R monoshock hub laced to a 19” tube rim
