Which 17" cast wheels from the R1200 range will fit straight on to an 07 R1200GS Adventure?

I'm sure the rears are a straight swap as they seem to share the same final drive/disc/caliper combo but not so sure about the front?

Thoughts please?

Just remember that the bolts are different lengths if you swop them out.
The standard GS 1200 fit straight on the GSA. I had a set of Tourances on the alloys and knobblies on the wire rims and took 5 mins to swop them over depending on which surface was going to be ridden on. Works a charm.

hi chris... i've just bought a 2009 r1200 gs just the standard one and i'm looking to do a bit of offroad riding, can you tell me where's a good place to get a set of used wire wheels? or is it better to get new ones?

not too sure about going the new route, after seeing the insurance report for my adventure and them listing the front wheel somewhere between 5 and 6 hundred quid (can't remember the exact amount) that'll be over a grand for a pair of wheels, :blast

Plenty of people off-road on cast wheels without problem, also wire wheels cost a fortune new or second hand - saw a pair (admittedly with TKCs fitted) go on ebay recently for around £900. Worth a look at Motorworks or James Sherlock (see links above) for a source of used wheels.
