Wheel swap?

I also posted this in the for sale section, but just in case some 1200 owners don't read that, I'm duplicating it here

It's a long shot, but would anyone who has wire spoked wheels on their 1200 like to swap them for my alloy wheels? I'd be prepared to pay postage (or come and collect) and add a bit of cash to the deal as the wire wheels are more expensive. My alloy wheels are in good condition, no damage from tyre changing etc.

Anyone interested?

Probably a stupid question (but it has never stopped me before) I know, but will the wheels from an earlier model fit?

Sadly they don't. This makes getting wheels for the 1200 rather expensive

About 14,000 miles. Although I may have found a set of wire wheels at a reasonable price, which I'd prefer in the long run if I can afford em. So I'll get back to you if that falls through, thanks

In the end I bought a second set of wheels for my bike. I think it will make my life easier in the long run, as I can now easily swap between road and dualsport tyres.

For information, the second hand wheels were £450 without brake discs, abs ring or and fitings. New from BMW they would have cost about £1100
