I'm trying to find a safe way of carrying a (folding) lightweight wheelchair on a new GSA. But before I go expending large amounts of time and effort, has anyone already done this? Or knows of a firm who has a solution? I'm thinking along the lines of fabricating some sort of carrier that would fit in place of one of the panniers. Google would normally be my friend, but I've not found much via this route.

put panniers on the bike and remove the rear seat.

this provides a wide load bed.

strap whatever you want on.

If wheel chair folds up, and wheels come off, then I see no reason why you cant just strap it on....

I have had a mountain bike on the back of my gs before, and also an oven. But not at the same time.

oven - i bet that tripped the CanBus

Thanks all. Sadly, removing the pillion seat isn't really an option as the whole point of the exercise is to get a wheelchair-using passenger out on the bike :-)

I'll contact the NADB people for some advice :-)
