Wheels for ABS or not?

Can somebody confirm what I was told by my local dealer today:

On a 1150GS Adventure:
1. The rear wheel and brake disc is identical for both ABS and non ABS equiped bikes. So if I have a wheel without an ABS ring I can just bolt a ring one onto the wheel and it will fit my ABS equiped bike. The ABS ring is fitted using the same bolts that retain the brake disc.

2. The front wheels are different for bikes equiped with ABS or not. Which means I must buy a wheel with the ABS ring fitted to guarantee it is the correct type for my ABS equiped bike.

I am not sure about any of the above so information wanted.

Depends on which abs you have.
The older type had other rings then the newer ones.
The new ones are the cheap looking things with holes and the are bolted
under the disks, front and rear.
On my 2003 Adv the rear wheel still had unused bolt holes for the older type abs ring, but the front wheel hadn't.

All bolloxs - On the later wheels without the ABS ring mounting lugs, you just use the later ABS ring, which mounts on the same lugs as the brake discs .

Is it best to use just one caliper lug, as using both means the ring runs eccentrically :D

Saw the typing error, now corrected - that could have been fun :D
