will an 1150gs front abs wheel fit an 1100gs abs bike?

Reason I ask is my 1100 has a 18" front wheel and a 1150gs front wheel is on ebay now, just wondering if its worth buying?

Probably not, I think the ABS rings are different. Cast on the 1100 and pressed steel with holes on the 1150

Check check............. the wheels seem to be the same but check the ABS rings, you may be able to fit your ABS rings to the 1150 wheel. disks are pricey too. The 18 inch spoked front wheel is quite a rare thing

The wheels for an 1100 and a 1150 are identical, including the ABS rings on pre 2003 non servo ABS braked bikes.
The later wheels with the servo abs rings will still fit, but you may have the ABS lights flash up at higher speeds.

Cheers for both replies, it sold for just over £100 with tyre etc but not to me. I cant believe mine has an 18" front wheel, tyres are very limited for a 18" front :blast Cant find any adventure kinda tyres to fit it :tears

if you can get a hub

You could lace on a 21 even better than 19 for dirt

I dont really do that much off roading on the GS but would like atleast to be able to do a bit without damaging a road tyre.

How much to lace a 21" or even 19" to existing hub?? Wheels are going for about £100 so might be more cost effective to just bite the bullet and buy 1.
