When is the rt1300 due?

Just spotted a 1300RT Triple Black on the Campsite. Quite impressed by the styling and it's relatively compact size. Owner is happy too... Apart from heated backrest and Topbox trims not be delivered with the bike. IMG_20250820_204221.jpgIMG_20250820_204209.jpg

Fcuk me, that's hideous!

Lost the charm of the 1250's which at least bore some resemblance to the outgoing 1200, but that thing is a multi-angular mess, designed by committee and finished off by a blind man with a stick. Looks more like a GS with a fug ugly fairing stuck up front and as for that big ugly radar box....people are actually buying these things?

I had no plans to sell my 1250, and if it weren't for the outcomes of spinal surgery, I'd be keeping it. It's hands down one of the best bike's I've ever owned, and in its own unique way, not a bad looker either, (I like the owl eyes front of the earlier 1250's).

Goodbye bmw, hello Ducati, as I'm jumping ship since bmw don't offer a halfway decent looking middleweight either. That new RT might in it's own Teutonic way, be an efficient, powerful tourer that handles well but it's just criminally hideous to look at.

The faring is nowhere near as bulbous as the 1250. See it in the flesh and you'll maybe think differently. It's not for me, but an improvement in my eyes. Definitely more stylish than the GS.

I have. It was hideous. The 1250 was more bulbous but it was still a handsome machine and this one is not.

It is indeed. I'm sure there are those that like the looks of it and the new GS, but I'm not a fan at all. The standard GS (bar the front X headlight and radar) isn't too bad tbh, neither is the RS come to that but I don't know what they were thinking other than watching too many Transformers films, when they penned the GSA and new RT.
