I need a selection of jets for my carbs. The standard jes sold by Motobins/Motorworks have 150's and 158's but nothing in between. I need 154 or 155. Any ideas?

Funny you should mention that. I was talking to one of the automotive guys at work yesterday and he suggested exactly the same thing. These guys do a huge range of bits --> Drill services a 1.54 mm Bit will give me the size I need for less than £1 - just drill out an old standard jet.

Fill a larger jet with solder; then drill.

So you think it might be an electrical fault rather than fuelling?
You never know with these old airheads mate, best check the oil in the final drive as well for good measure
After much faffing about, chopping and changing airboxes about, fitting spacers under needles and trying different setups I'm almost there.
I've ended up with an old ally 100RS airbox and starter motor cover. Standard early filter. 158 main jet and the needle at the one and a half position from top - the half was a small washer under the circlip. The bikes running beautifully
Printout of the air fuel mixture recorded across the full rev range. a few cars on the road so it wasn't a wide open throttle run.
I'm not keen on the drone from the RS airbox so a little more tinkering to match everything to the standard airbox is on the cards.
Dead chuffed though. My new gadget is worth it's weight in gold.

What a neat bit of kit
I'd imagine it wouldn't take much in dyno time and saved faffing around backwards and forwards to justify it. Can the O2 sensor fit anywhere on the pipe or does it have to run 'hot'?
It's a Bosch wideband sensor with heaters built in so can fit anywhere. I bought the adapter to allow it to fit in the silencer, fitting in the collector box would be the best option though because air gets drawn back into the silencer when. you let the throttle off suddenly or change gear.
Apart from the BHP figure from the dyno run I get more information from this little unit and can see the results of any changes I make to the bike instantly. I didn't realise how smooth 1000cc airheads could run until I got the jetting right.
