I hope this doesn't turn out to be a basic easily found part because I've been searching for ages!

Please the attached photo of a bike I spotted for sale with the exact thing I've been looking for. It's a mount for aux switches that seems to sit on the yoke covering the bar mounts on an 1150GS.

Can someone please let me know where I can get one as it looks ideal for a little project I've got in mind that would require two, maybe three swithes by the time it's all finished.

Thanks in advance :thumb

Nice one (I knew I'd make myself look like a right lemon when I asked)

If someone does have the part code I'd be interested in knowing it to make a price check easier.
I really only want the housing, I'm not interested in the wiring or same switch from my photo.

One of my problem in finding it has been nothing in the diagrams look like the one in the photo. Can someone please let me know if it's item 15 (with my red arrow skillfully added) in this diagram I found on the web?

Thanks again

Why don`t you just get a piece of alloy plate and cut it to shape and size ? :nenau

I did that for MATKAT`s spotlight and heated grip switches.....

Thanks Tarka :thumb

I've considered many ways of getting the mounting I want and of course making my own would be ideal because it would be exactly as I want it. However, my beautiful designs do not match easily with my metal work skills from school (if I can even remember that far back).
In the past I constructed all sorts of things for bikes and cars with great success but this mounting is very much in sight and I just don't want it to look sh1t.
Going by the picture I've posted that switch mounting looks to be just the right size and shape for what I want, it also seems built to fit in with the bike overall because it's molded to sit exactly where I want it and will without a doubt make things a whole lot prettier than anything my skills allow me to construct.

If BM want silly money for it I'll make my own the best I can. If they'll sell me the mount on it's own without the rest of the fog/spots kit at an ok price I'm sure it will give me an overall better finish.

Does anyone know the BM code for just the plastic switch mounting bit? Is it what I've arrow in the diagram?

Cheers
P.S in fact your own tag line/signature sums up everything I've just written above :bounce1

Global

That's the exact site I did my little screen grab from and added my arrow to in the diagram above.

But as you can see from the diagram it looks nothing like what’s in the photo of the bike and that's really the essence of my query now.

Can someone please just confirm that the two things I'm pointing to in my pictures are one and the same?

I've pretty much concluded that they are, but as I won't be able to get to a dealer this week to check the prices I'd be happier if someone could just confirm I’m right (or wrong) so I don't make myself look like a lemon (yet again) with the man in the parts dept.

Thanks :)
