I was recently given the Britain for Bikers route book by Simon Weir. As we were limited by time yesterday I chose a route suited to the time we had, in yesterday’s case the “49 Trent Country Loop” yes you get the directions but it’s not safe constantly glancing down at the map so I did a very quick Basecamp copy with just a start point and an end point and nothing else and it worked like a charm.
Of late I’ve found myself doing the same old same old, Matlock. Cat & Fiddle. Snake Pass shit. I recommend the book and with routes up and down the country as well as Ireland Scotland and Wales there will be something for everyone.

Technically it was yesterday now but took a potter down from Evian Les bains into Switzerland for a few hours in the thermal baths at Lavey
