Does it have a socket for an external antenna?
EDIT: Seems it does - I bought an external, plug-in antenna for my Quest for £4.95.

send it to garmin it will cost you 129 quid but if they can't fix it they will send you a new one if they do fix it you get a 1 year warenty

any details of where and to who please as phoned garmin and they didnt seem to want to know. just kept saying didnt support it and basically tough sh*t

I had my 2610 replaced for ~£55 by Garmin last April/May. Prior to that there had been rumours of "No support for that model..." but they came through AND for about half the £"s I'd been quoted the previous November when the unit first started freezing.

i used the same number as cogs but i will point out that i did get a zumo fixed but did ask about other models and they said if its garmin we will try and fix it

2610 not being fixed any more
The touchscreen on my not quite 3yrs old 2610 has just packed up. Phoned Garmin support this morning and have been told they can't offer repairs on 2610s any longer as they have no stock left.
I asked if I could buy a refurbished 2720 or 2820 from them (I think they have the same power cable fitting as the 2610) and they have no 27s and only a few 28s left but these aren't up for selling on for going out as repairs.

There is one for sale in here at £140 .........about the same cost as repair and its got all the accessories with it.
