Hey,
Got a project bike, R65 (0452) from 1986, that is making a clear noise somewhere in the engine when running (starts smooth, runs steady.
Been fiddling around with the clutch cable moment, but the noise consists when the engine is in gear, when gripping the clutch lever the engine turns down the rather metallic sounding noise (as if there is a loose engine chain). Starter and solenoid are doing their job cleanly.
When revving the throttle in neutral, sometimes the engine isn't able to shut off, even when the key is switched to off, which also has me guessing. The entire loom has been replaced to fit a Motogadget M-Unit and the rectifier is swapped for a 14.4V capable variant to comply with a Li
n battery as well.
Can this just be clutch (plates)? Or do I need to look elsewhere? Got some video with the noise recorded, but cannot add to this topic
