My lid came off my 41L case this morning where it was promptly flattened by an artic.

Anyone have a spare lid for an original 41l Touratech pannier?

Or

Does someone have a smashed case with a good lid who wants a bargain lidless case.

Tried a panel beater, the did their best but there was no saving it.

I know there must be a lid out there somewhere looking for a case.

:D I bet there are loads of lads on here that would love to have a go tapping that lid back into shape :D

I love that sketch. I’d like to have a go at that lid. Lump hammer and a little ball pien. JJH

I've been filled with renewed confidence so will give it another bash when I get home

If you have a couple pieces of timber 2" x 2" or so and a flat surface (piece of plywood or a bench) might help form the corners. Small steps. Good luck and post your efforts:aidan

Twas but a scratch, with the support and confidence from you guys I hammered it back to shape.
The patina looks good

Better than a panel beater. Although I can understand why he didn’t take it on. JJH

Cheers lads, a few stickers and I'll forget there was anything there.

Nice job. Blob of translucent silicone on the tie holes to seal it or maybe the collective can come up with a better solution. Keep the kitchen roll handy when working with silicone.

Bash it better... Love your work sir, that's exactly what I would have done, now it looks far better...

Well done,
now put in some safety measure to prevent it happening again.
Some steel cable and clips, done!
I did this few years ago exactly for that reason, easy to set up and take off if needed.
