Where to stay in this area ? - Sort of 😀

A) I’ve never heard of it
B) now I have its over an hour out of our way.

Its the same distance if you take the C28 the next morning it will take you to Sort.
Street view the wiggly bits of the C28 you wont be dissapointed
Vielha has better options for hotels and restaurants

The Parador in La Seu D’Urguell looks nice, an hour down the road from Sort. We’re staying there in a couple of weeks, after Cadaques, with one stop in between, travelling east to west. I can report back if you like
Yep, stayed in this Parador for three nights in July too. It’s great with a ‘Moto’ only garage with the gated car park.

Wander into the square for Tapas in Paradeta Del Mercat and a wine or beer or both.

Barry

We stopped for coffee, by Mercadonia, there this year, en route to Llo.
Fairly large town, the biggest over the border from France. Lots of accommodation there (winter ski use looked like). Have you tried via Google maps / Airbnb for the night?

Also stayed in Les Brases, found it comfortable, food OK and secure parking. Would recommend a run to Vielha via C13 and C28 over Bonaigua Pass, stunning views. Appreciate that you're on the N260 west, whilst the above takes you east

Thanks.
But as I said, we’re there to follow the N260 so deviating to Vielha takes us a good 45 minutes out of our way

I’m sure the C28 is a great road, as are most in that area . But the whole point is to follow the N260 for its length, as I’ve done once before but mate hasn’t .
Anyway, the Les Nous we’ve now booked up the road from Sort looks great .

The Parador in La Seu is indeed very special, located in the cathedral cloisters and closer to the Captain's extravagant taste than anything you can find in Sort, which is a bit of a tourist hole TBH.

An alternative would be the Hotel Segle XX in Tremp. Hugely popular with bikers and just around the corner from mine so he can fill me with beer :)

Thanks.

It would take you more than 45 minutes and the N- 320 up to and through the Vielha tunnel is pants!

Thanks but I seem to remember La Seu is a bit of a one horse town and the hotel we’ve booked looks very nice , and about €100.

No extravagant taste here .

But keep the recommendations coming, as we’ve already booked somewhere 😀

AirBnB. Yor world is a oyster, from £30-£100. Set your budget and requirements in the filter. I stayed lately on farms with the host, average cost was £36. Check out the reviews. In 12 years never had a bad host. Price is per room normally.

Forgot to say that this year I tried booking a night before. It worked. I started looking at around 4/5pm and by the evening I had a confirmation.

myself and my mate are just back from Spain, we travelled by brittany ferries from Rosslare, IE to Bilbao. Took two days wandering across the countryside to stay in " Sort " Lleida region of Spain. We based ourselves in " Sort " for 6 nights and explored form there. cant be doing with all that travelling day by day packing up, burning time and chasing the clock to get to a hotel, meh.....Sort was a great base camp. we planned and researched maps / roads that looked like you'd need seasickness tablets to navigate them lol I thought i had seen it all in germany, austria etc with the roads, but northen spain is on another level of switchbacks and roads i couldnt even begin to describe. 100% going back. Roads like the n260 , c1311 , c28 , cg24, n141 , it goes on and on. driver there dont hang about , not wreckless, but they do the speed, some a little more, they are tight when overtaking. we had zero issues, we weren't being heroes but enjoyed every hairpin to its best.

we stayed in Pey Resport in the town, id say its three star,- they say two, but wasnt bad. 90e a night per room, twin rooms, but we booked separate rooms so there is money to be saved. we parked in their garage - 5 e per day, but they said we didnt need to as area is safe enough.

i took my MT10sp, it was phenomenal throughout, no aches / pains etc. Im far from "fit". Bike is a masterpiece. its was making very light work of the roads, and its so versatile, you wouldnt believe. cant post pics :(

I have an apartment in Andorra... with lovely secure basement parking... will definitely be avail in May 2026 if anyone's interested. 3 bed (2 double, 1 twin bunk beds). A mate of mine looks after it out of season (that's ski season)... and he's a big bike fan... has a KTM 1290 Super Adventure, so he can help out with all things bike etc. Not a bad spot for exploring French and Spanish Catalunya...

I can’t send you a private message for some reason to query the apartment?
