Wheres did you put your TD

HI.

I know this is a silly thread, but where did you put your Tax Disc.

I used to have it, on the rear left just above the exhaust. fine when no boxes on. But i think it has to be on the front left, (legally) so im looking for a nice idea or tax disc holder.

Personaly, i dont know why we need to have them fitted, with todays ANPR systems & MID.

Ideas.

Also in my wallet, don't even bother with a copy on the bike ( quite apart from it being illegal) as the scummies will pinch that too.

Displaying a copy is changing one offence (Fail to display) for another.

It's all on the 'Big Brother' data base these days, so instantly available to those that need to know.

mine was attached to the bolt that holds the exhaust silencer to the frame could always see it with or without the panniers mounted, on another of my bikes it's mounted on a front mudguard bolt. not really bothered which side it's on just as long as it's visible.

mines in my wallet to, after having 2 of the buggers nicked in the past, it will flash up on ANPR if it's not taxed so you get pulled, if it's taxed you are fairly safe imho, unless riding like you stole it.

I was pulled over for a "chat" at Craven Arms by an ST mounted police officer chap last Friday while riding back from Cardiff, for going a wee bit faster than the limit on the A41. He never questioned the lack of tax disc

I laminated mine and bolted it on the bottom left hand side of the screen just above the tank. In theory it can be nicked, but any thief would need a tool to remove it, which would eliminate "opportunistic" thieves.
