Here's another version KLR650a
Fully sorted and with heated grips, new tyres, new discs and Goodridge etc etc
Stands me at £1,500
That brings back memories of being hit with shards of plastic reflector whilst following Sycomoto during his "Watch me wheelie for 3 miles" phase
He took a mate of mine on the back and turned him white.
Apparently whilst riding like a tw*t he screemed "monday, not a good day to die".
Suprised it took until he was 35 to nearly kill himself.

You need a KTM 640Adv! It's the perfect tool, lots of power and good enough for 400 miles per day.

My votes the XR650R. had one since new (2001) and it's been brilliant. Thashed offroad, raced in supermoto trim and all that needs doing is as you said, chain lube wash put away.
