Which Africa Twin pre or post 2020

No, just wondered really as so used to the whole BMW ‘that’ll be extra Sir thing...’ :) The less superfluous electronic tat the better IMHO. Centre stand is always handy.

Looking at getting 2019 AT dct is any thing I should look out for.
Any advice would be good

Mileage? The valve check at 16k miles is a faff with lots of stupid bits of bodywork to come off. (Mine was delayed by me and done at 24k...all were within tolerance)

just pick your favourite colour

I don't believe there are any inherent faults just spokes that lost their shine.

plenty with big miles including a German guy with 330,000 MILES on his 2016 dct bike

a brilliant bike especially with better suspension fitted

Just go off service history and condition. Oil changes should have been done to schedule. The DCT uses the same oil, it's not separate, and there are filters for the DCT which are replaced as part of regular servicing. If it's approaching 16k as mentioned above factor in the upcoming valve clearance check costs into the price. They are a little prone to pinprick paint issues on the frame, more noticeable on the white frame like mine, so that's an item to check for. The < 2020 models benefit hugely from suspension work especially at the rear. Otherwise just look for a tidy well maintained bike, they really aren't prone to any specific problems.
