I've just got a Baglux tank cover ready to fit on my GSA and will then be getting a tank bag to go with it.

Any advice on which one to get?

Hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year.

Take care and ride safe.

I bought a black Alpha bag in 1996. I've since used it on a yellow TDM850, a black CBR6 and now a mandarin GS.

I just get the correct colour harness when I change bikes.

Saves a lot of money in the long run.

The Alpha expands using a spiral zip (to a size that you would never want to use in practice), has a reasonable size map pocket (you can fold a yellow Michelin Map up to get a decent section visible and has a nice little zip pocket to keep sunglasses, change for tolls, earplugs etc.

It comes with a shoulder strap and a waterproof cover that will not blow away as it is attached to the bag and stored in a pocket in the base.

They do one specifically for large trailies, The Gamma Bag 30 L £89.00 its shaped specifically for the big traile tank so it sits up straight.
Its available in 10 colours.

I'll second the Alpha

... bloody good kit Bob, I wouldn't want a bigger bag than this on the harness to be honest.

Yep

Got a Alpha included in a bike I bought secondhand (pre GS period),
really good kit and supprising what you can stuff in it, (oerrr missus),
Only fault was it was red to match the bike, now Ive got the best colour GS,
Mandarin off course, black would have been much better.........

Have to agree with WESSIE.

I have just "fitted" the tank cover so this is very good info to have. Good luck fitting the cover Bob - let me know wht you do with the two straps that dont wrap around the yoke at the front. Mine didnt have instructions and the the standard GS instrcutions are not up to much and anyway its different.

Barcelona Bob,

If you put your hand up inside the tank at the point where the buckle is on the front of the harness you'll find a tubular frame on both sides. The two errant straps rap around this then back to the buckle.

Got the Alpha on my GSA after trying various models in Andorra earlier this year, couldn't recommend it highly enough!

are we talking about the ones that come from above or below? Jeez this is like gettign kitted up for and S&M party, bloody marvellous...

scuse spelling, am `pissed -- well its is san esteban

Go for the black Alpha.

When you change the bike sell the tank cover with the bike, and keep the black bag.

Then buy a colour matched cover for your next baby.

Comfy to lean on sporty bikes (not tried on the GS ... yet).

20/30 L capacity is big enough/small enough. Top kit :thumb

Another thunbs up for the BLACK Alpha bag. Great bit of kit. Use it all the time, first thing i did when i got the gsa last Friday was to order a new tank cover...
