Which bike to ride: RT or RnineT?

Having got my new toy and my ears are still ringing (and still grinning!) from 100 miles on it on Sunday, I have a trip from Andover to Portsmouth and back with various stops along the way. Do I take the supreme RT LC in fast efficient comfort, or get pummelled and deafened on the RnineT, with a huge grin on my face. How do people with more than one bike decide which bike to take? As I wheel one out of the garage, I can hear the other one demanding to know why it has been left in the garage...

You have a first world problem right there. I also have the same conundrum regularly, but my bikes are the polar opposite of each other, so depending on where I'm going, it's an easy decision to make.

Yes I agree. A very first world problem....

I took the RnineT and had a great time on it. But I do have to read the book and work out how to soften the suspension before it shakes my eyeballs out.

Off to Worcester and oxford today so definitely the RT for that. Coming back via North Oxford Garage as all my remotes for the alarm on the RT seem to have stopped working at the same time. I assume some sort of synchronisation issue.

Ive wondered about a different problem. I'm lucky enough to have a Rallye and an RTLC. I like both - but the NineT is calling, old(er) age, weaker muscles and fond memories of simpler bikes. Yes, these are first world problems but that's were we are, literally and figuratively. and thank God for that. Selfish, but I'd rather this problem than be clinging to a life raft in the Med - - respect and sympathy to them all. So, back to the superficial, which do I ditch - if I ditch at all?

That depends what sort of riding/ roads you ride on.

I've got a real problem too.
I've spent over £25k on two bikes.One looks like it's melted and the other is only suitable for midgets/att and gives me back ache just after I pass Tesco.
Which one should I ride tomorrow,assuming they're not both on a recall ?

Neither. You keep them both and add the RnineT to the collection. It is a great bike. Real back to basics stuff and great fun for a blast.
