Hi everyone,

I have just orderd a Garmin V from http://www.mncgroup.co.uk/ for £419. I am now thinking of buying a RAM mount and a Touratech bracket direct from Nicky Plumb in Wales. Is this the cheapest way? Or are there better brackets out there? I am also after a power lead for the V, is Touratech the best for these aswell

Thanks in advance, and see you all at Princetown :)

Hi Andy
You could just use the RAM mount for £21.50 from these people.
www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/search.php?search=RAM-B-149Z-GA2&x=32&y=9
They can probably supply another power lead as well.
OR you could hard wire the cigarette lighter power lead [remove the cigarette lighter plug from the end] OR replace it with a BMW plug and use your accessory socket OR wire another BMW socket in nearer your Garmin and plug into that. Hope this might help.
Good Luck!

Guess you didn't see my reply to your other post - here

RAM mount can be had from GPS Warehouse as well although at £22.99 it's slightly more than the above post.

They even do 0% interest on selected items if that's what tempted you to but from mnc for £30 more.

You could get the GPS V, RAM mount and another power lead from GPS W for just a few more £ than the GPS alone from mnc.

The RAM bracket is excellent.
It can be a bit of a pain if you are planning to take it off the unit reguarly (a bit tight).

My GPS V mounted

Any Garmin shop should have power leads. Non-genuine are always cheaper and I have yet to strike a dud.

cheers for the replys; notadrop, adamski49 and burnieM,

Adamski49, unfortunatly I didn't see your reply's until it was too late:( and I have already orderd from mnc:banghead:

Thanks for the info, those Ram mounts look nice. I couldn't find GPS warehouse before, it looks like a good site.

I think I am going to have a beer now and reflect on my 'impulse buying'

Don't give up just yet. Due to distance buying you have rights :D

Look here under 'Cancellations & Returns'

"Cancellations: You may normally cancel your purchase if you notify us either before or within 14 days after delivery. Your product may be returned to us or collected from the delivery address " delivery non-refundable. If another method of return is used you will be responsible for the costs."

Personally, seeing as they boast to have 'Less Cost', I would phone them and quote the other supplier's prices I gave you and ask for a refund of the difference. If they are not interested say that you wish to cancel your order and return the GPS unit for a full refund (you may have to wear the cost of insured return postage). I take it you bought using a credit card which will mean you're also covered if they get smart and don't refund immediately.

Adamski,

Thanks for the advice I will give mnc a ring and ask for the differance, it will be interesting to see what they have to say:)
